Seen today on the MyStarbucksIdea.com website:
I had a McDonalds' Latte this morning just to see what it was like. A medium was $3.04 with tax. Let's just say, Starbucks has nothing to worry about. It was too hot, too sweet and tasted like licorice. I had to throw it away.
And this was my response. I feel VERY STRONGLY about this ad campaign from last year, as you'll see:
I will NEVER, EVER buy a McDonald's coffee drink. The only reason is the offensive ad campaign they ran last summer, with shallow, snarly, shrill women mocking other women who carry "snooty green cups". First of all, I detest women like that, secondly, I was incredibly offended to be pegged as "snooty" because I like a reliable latte. Really, I want to buy a latte at McDonald's so people DON'T think I'm snooty? I just want them to think I have bad taste? Or maybe I am the kind of person who couldn't care less what whiny, self-absorbed women think of me anyway!
So, I'm thrilled to hear their lattes are horrible (not that I expected anything more, but still!)
